Harriers team finishes 10th

ATHLETICS: THURROCK Harriers’ leading men’s team finished 10th in the Essex Road Relay Championships in Chelmsford, writes Ryan Goad.
The fastest leg on the day went to Scott Rice who clocked 20m 16s for the course of approximately 6km while running the first leg for the Harriers. He was joined in the Harriers A team by Alec Finch (20.51), Dennis Cross (20.24) and Don Lawless (21.48).
The women’s team finished in an impressive seventh place. Again it was the first leg runner who recorded the fastest time as Toni Noble clocked 23m 54s. She was supported by Victoria Peacock 27m 08s and Sam Cox 27m43s.
Other results: Men’s: 20 Thurrock B (M Bumstead , Johnson, Rowlett , Cahill). Women’s 9 Thurrock B (Farrell 26.02, Lincoln 26.15, Driver 27.53).
