Gym club in action

GYMNASTICS: GIRLS from the South Essex Gymnastics Club gave a great account of themselves at the Miss Alpha Competition 2013, winning four titles.

In the compulsory five competition, Elise Adeyemo was crowned champion, and Violet Clark and Emily Hardy also competed well.

In the compulsory three competition, Natasha Freeman was also crowned champion for the third year running with Erin Bellman placing a respectable third, and Devon Allen also competing well.

In the club grade 14 competition, there were good showings from Jessie Millham, Isobel Arnold, Madison Jennings and Tyler Barnard.

In the club grade 13 competition, Jessica Sansom, Ellie Bates, Kyra Moroney and Grace Dalton did well, and in the club grade 12 competition, Kerry King was fifth and Ashleigh Saunders was also in action. Sophie Goodman was crowned champion of the club grade 10 competition.

Marney Easen won the national grade seven title, and in the level eight section Tegan Rees and Abby Forkner competed well.

In the Jewel of the South Team Cup, South Essex just missed out on another win by 0.2, placing second out of seven teams.

South Essex’s Jessie Millham and Marney Easen also won special awards for excellent artistry on the floor, and Grace Dalton for the best number.
