Thurrock RFC have the weekend off

RUGBY: IT is a blank fixture weekend for most of south Essex’s leading rugby clubs, with Southend, Westcliff and Thurrock all getting the weekend off in the national leagues.

Rochford too are without a game in London One North, but fellow strugglers Basildon are in action, playing host to Beaconsfield in what could be a crunch game at the bottom of the table. Basildon currently sit second from bottom, six points behind tomorrow’s opponents who are one place above them.

In London Three North East, Canvey Island will be looking to build on their shock win over Cantabrigian last week when they visit Beccles.

The Suffolk side sit in mid-table and the Islanders will be eyeing up another win.
