Eamonn Martin inspires coaches

ATHLETICS: BASILDON AC chairman and former London Marathon winner and British 10,000m record holder Eamonn Martin gave a talk to more than 20 athletics coaches from around the county, writes Ryan Goad.
Martin, who now coaches Adam Hickey and Gemma Kersey, talked about his career and his coaching philosophies.
The event was organised by the Essex Athletics Network.
Chairman of the Network Steve Reynolds, another middle distance coach at Basildon AC, said: “I was delighted so many coaches gave up an evening to hear from one of the all-time greats – who is still heavily involved in local athletics as the chairman at my club, Basildon AC, England Cross Country team manager and coach.”
