Thurrock Lakeside: Producing a fair amount of flounders.
Tilbury World’s End: Whiting and the odd smelt.

Greenhythe: Whiting with the chance of codling.
River Crouch: A few whiting for the die-hard angler. Turn right at the seawall at Fambridge and go to the small point, about three-quarters of a mile along.
Southend Pier: Whiting and dabs Southend beaches: Small whiting and flounders, all on lug.
Barge Pier: The odd better-sized whiting at long range.
East Beach: One or two flounder of mixed sizes at the Cafe end. At the boom end, there are flounders on both sides, all on lug. The better-sized ones are coming out at night.
