RYMAN PREMIER: ROCKS picked up an excellent point at division heavyweights Lowestoft, who finished with 10 men after the dismissal of Curtley Williams in front of a crowd of 553 at Crown Meadow.
A poor first half ended with Lowestoft’s Robert Eagle forcing Rocks keeper Elliot Justham into a good save.
Chris Henderson fired a shot against the bar for the hosts midway through the second half, but they finished a man down as Williams was shown a straight red card for kicking out at substitute Kris Newby in injury time.
Rocks will also be pleased to see their top scorer Sam Higgins come through 90 minutes following his first start after a hamstring injury.
East Thurrock United: Justham, Sammons, Stephen, Wood, Harrison, Burgess (Parmenter 65), Lawson (Newby 65), Gilbey, Higgins, Ruel, Collins.
