Demi Eves and Kiera Scott show class for Thurrock Harrieers

ATHLETICS: TWO young Thurrock athletes are celebrating doing well at a recent big event in Chingford. Demi Eves and Kierra Scott both took part in the final cross country league meeting in the under 11 race.

Demi, who finished 12th in a previous cross-country league at Hylands Park went even better this time finishing fourth with Kierra in 7th place. The distance was 2000m over a very wet and boggy course and Demi was only 11 seconds behind the leading girl.
