Call to Essex based Hammers fans

WEST HAM: A NEW supporters’ club for Essex-based West Ham supporters is appealing for members. The group is trying to get 30 West Ham Academy members or season ticket holders in order to gain official recognition from the Premier League club.

Founder Rik Moran said: “I set the group up because I thought it would be a good way to meet other local fans.”

The group has 12 members so far, and if it can reach 30 it will qualify for the ‘bronze’ supporters’ club status, which will give it benefits including money off club merchandise, special rates for hospitality packages, priority ticket purchasing and a dedicated meeting point at the Boleyn Ground.
