Brace of victories by Thurrock Harriers

ATHLETICS: THURROCK Harriers were celebrating a brace of victories at the Essex Cross-Country Championships over a boggy, mud-bath of a course at Hadleigh.

Gemma Holloway returned to form with a bang to win the under-17 women’s race in style, while Jo Wilkinson took the spoils in the senior women’s race.

There were team medals too, with the Harriers picking up a silver in the under-15 boys race and a bronze in the under-20 men’s event.
