RUGBY: Thurrock and Westcliff will both be looking to end their bad run of results when they face each other at Oakfield tomorrow.

Westcliff are currently third from bottom in the National Three London & SE standings and have suffered seven successive defeats to slump down in to the relegation.

But, after a bright start to their first ever season at this level, Thurrock have also started to struggle.

They have been beaten six times in a row and have fallen to ninth in the 14 team table.

As a result, Thurrock are now only seven points above Westcliff and will be keen to extend that gap this weekend.

Thurrock triumphed 51-21 against their Essex rivals at the Gables towards the start of the season.

And the outcome of this weekend’s encounter could well have a massive say in the remainder of both team’s campaign as they both bid to avoid relegation.
