BOXING: LEVI Lee will fight for his country this weekend.
The 13-year-old Chadwell St Mary fighter will do battle at 54kg after being chosen by the Amateur Boxing Association of England. He will square up to a rival in the England v Ireland match in Dublin on Saturday December 8.
Chadwell chairperson Sindy Overy said: “This is an amazing opportunity for a boxer of such a young age. It’s the second time that he’s represented his country.”
Another Chadwell fighter, Ben Ben Davey, 19, (54kg) fought last week at the Chigwell against K Hakimi. Davey won his bout by a unanimous decision giving his opponent two standing counts in the third round.
