Midweek games washed out

NON LEAGUE: Rain put paid to both of the Canvey Island clubs’ fixtures on Tuesday.
Canvey made an early decision to postpone their Essex Senior Cup match with AFC Hornchurch because of a water-logged pitch at the Prospects Stadium. That match will now take place on Tuesday, December 4.
Concord Rangers’ eagerly-anticipated derby at home to East Thurrock at the Aspect Arena was also washed out.
A statement on the club’s website said: “The weather has not been kind and the Aspect Arena resembles a small lake!”
Southend United said “severe rainfall” in the local area had forced the abandonment of their scheduled county cup trip to Hullbridge Sports.
