NON-LEAGUE: THE Millers’ racked up a 4-1 victory over AFC Sudbury at Mill Field on Monday night.
The first goal came from Paul Burnett who found the back of the net after nine minutes. But AFC’s Leon Antoine restored parity from a corner. But when Petrit Elbi and Shane Oakley came on for Millers the game changed. And between them the duo found the back of the net three times in the last ten minutes.
It was Aveley’s six successive win. The victory sees the Millers rocketing up the table – to fourth place. Fog had made the match difficult.
Manager Justin Gardner only made one change to the line-up that started against Ware.
ON Saturday Aveley put bottom of the table Ware to the sword 4-1 at Wodson Park. Millers begun the scoring in the 14th minute when Junior Dadson put the Millers into the lead. Two goals from Jordan Cox early in the second half gave the Millers the cushion the needed. But then Ryan Fleming poached a goal for the home side to give their fans hope.
However, it took a final strike from Billy Holland in injury time to wrap up the match for Aveley.
