The Low Go's

The Low Go's The Low Go's

Name of band/act: The Low Go's

Genre of band: Powerpop/Indie

Information about the band:

Hailing from Colchester in Essex, the hometown of Britrocker's Blur, the Low Go's are one of many bands trying to force their way out of the drab club culture that seems to dominate their local music scene. Fed up with struggling to find a venue brave enough to go with the unknown, instead preferring to fill the bill with covers and tribute bands, The Low Go's moto has been self promotion and gigging on their own terms.

Originally the brainchild of three brothers the band have performed under various names, Catch and The Forum to name but a few. Since it's conception it has evolved into a slick and effective Indie/Pop producing machine made up of Tony (singer/rhythm guitar), Holly (singer/triangle), Spauly (drummer), Burge (lead guitar), and Jamie on the bass, now collectively known as The Low' Go's.

Whilst we all have different influences, we are all equally as passionate about music. We are united in trying to write and perform melody driven tracks with edgy lyrics. Our aim is simple. Give the audience songs to remember. It's all about the music. There is nothing better than hearing people singing and humming your tunes, having only heard them once.

Like every other band, we strongly believe that the commerciality of our material could bring success, but we are realistic enough to know that the music industry is a tough market to crack, and will be hoping for a little bit of help and luck along the way.

To date we have supported The Wire Daisies, The Alps and The Casiokids. We are now looking forward to supporting the Flashguns on the 2nd July and playing The Fahrenheit Festival in August. The future's bright. The future's boooyceee!
