Sway to the rhythms over the bank holiday

THERE’S plenty going on this bank holiday in Southend clubland – from a special PA appearance from rapper Sway at Element, to the Pink Toothbrush going all hip-hop and Chase and Status doing a special DJ set at Talk.

The duo will keep fans entertained on Saturday with their top selection of tracks for the night – which also features MC Rage.

On Sunday, Element sees a visit from Sway, who is signed to Akon’s Konvict Muzik label.

He’ll be performing live tracks, including his massive hits, Up Your Speed and Level Up.

Element has also got an extensive lineup of DJs for the Pure Silk bank holiday special on Sunday, including J Pizzle, Courtney Mac, Jay and Martyn Raby and Joshua Jones.

Meanwhile in Rayleigh, the Pink Toothbrush – known for its indie and rock nights – is going hip-hip on Sunday with a tribute to some of the acts who’ve played there over the years, including the Jungle Brothers, Ice T and The Shaman.
