MEMBERS of Corringham Evangelical Church are busy planning a special event for Easter Saturday with a special focus on learning new skills. Session on watercolour painting, clay sculpting, lace-making, scrap booking, jewellery making and card making will run at church.
The Craft Cafe, being held on the afternoon of April 11, will host a range of activities for people of all ages to try, including children.
There will also be refreshments and a book stall.
Spokesperson for the church, Daren Partridge, said: "We are hoping for a good response to the cafe, it's not just a chance for people to try something new, it's also a great opportunity to meet new people in a relaxed atmosphere. “Church members will also be on hand to answer questions about the Christian faith."
The Craft Cafe will be open from 1pm - 4pm and everything on the day will be free, including refreshments. Visitors can turn up at the Fobbing Road-based church at any point in the afternoon.
For more information contact Daren on 01375 674077 or e-mail him at daren@corringhamevangelical.co.uk or visit www.corringhamevangelical.co.uk.
