BONNYGATE Primary School, South Ockendon, celebrated the achievements of their pupils at their annual prize giving.

Prizes were presented to more than 60 children who have made progress in subjects including literacy, numeracy and science.

Pupils with 100 per cent attendance were also rewarded with prizes.

All the prizes were donated by the parents’ fundraising group, Friends of Bonnygate.

Headteacher Jim Johnson said: “We expect every child to try their hardest at Bonnygate, so nominating pupils for prizes is very difficult. But great progress must not go unnoticed and our prize-winners have really gone the extra mile to succeed.”
