A Jamaican man from south east London is facing six years behind bars and possible deportation after being found guilty of intending to supply crack cocaine and heroin.
Winston Forbes, 36, from the Norwood area, was sentenced at the Inner London Crown Court this week with the judge also recommending that he be sent back to his native Jamaica after serving his sentence.
Forbes was stopped by police last year while riding a motorcycle in Lordship Lane, Southwark.
Police found him to be in possession of quantities of class A drugs and cash.
During the search, he removed an item from his trouser waistband that was believed to be a weapon.
A struggle ensued with the officers, during which he dropped the item. The item was found to be a handgun loaded with three live rounds, contained in a sock.
