Jamaican drug dealer jailed

Comments (18)A Jamaican man from south east London is facing six years behind bars and possible deportation after being found guilty of intending to supply crack cocaine and heroin.
Winston Forbes, 36, from the Norwood area, was sentenced at the Inner London Crown Court this week with the judge also recommending that he be sent back to his native Jamaica after serving his sentence.
Forbes was stopped by police last year while riding a motorcycle in Lordship Lane, Southwark.
Police found him to be in possession of quantities of class A drugs and cash.
During the search, he removed an item from his trouser waistband that was believed to be a weapon.
A struggle ensued with the officers, during which he dropped the item. The item was found to be a handgun loaded with three live rounds, contained in a sock.

/and a lack of humanity to be able to sell this stuff that RUINS PEOPLES LIVES on a daily basis/and also the force thats needed to maintain that role and keep out other dealers/certainly takes a certain narccasistic personality to be able to keep that job down for sure. AND The ONE white dealer who supplys/sells the BIG BAG,isnt there on the street,wallowing day in day out amongst broken souls/and sellin to these people DAILY on a face to face business. I couldnt do it.That takes a certain level of cold blooded evilness to be able to do that.LIKE i said, take responsibility for your 'community' (i use that term loosely) and the behaviour that comes from there.AND P.s all this behaviour is nothing to do with poverity and deprivation.Its to do with cold blooded selfishness and greed/plain and simple.

Perhaps if white people werent smoking, injecting and snorting the stuff, there wouldnt be any customers for them to 'shot' too! I see plenty of crackheads and smackheads who are white. I even had one try and talk to me in the shop the other day high off her head and covered in marks on her arms from injections, dirty scum!!!

ast/religion etc etc. The amount of times when I was with my ex; when we were young (who was black by the way/shock horror eh) she was leered at by older black men and hit upon also with no shame whats so ever. I reiterate id rather socialise with someone who is weakminded than someone who is evil minded. Oh I wonder who usually beats up the homeless and the drug users .let me guess .(no doubt some dig will follow about my ex ..bein my ex)zzzzzzzzzzz

I dont do the race card, go back and read my comment. My only problem is when Andrew writes as if only Jamaicans sell drugs. I still stick to my point if there is no demand for a product there will be no supplier.
When was the last time someone bought a steam-engine 190-foot boat for transporting cargo. There is no longer a demand for them so, companies stop making them.
Same thing for drugs, white black, red, yellow and purple (if you take into consideration the people of the andes) if you snort, shoot up, inject, or swallow you'll try to find a source.
And, you'll pay enough to make it worthwhile for people to take the risk.
I'd really love for you to explain what do u mean by "Also....in jamica isnt accepttable for grown men in their 30's, 40's to sleep with girls from 12 upwards,and likewise for jamicaian women in their 30's and 40's to sleep and 'keep' i.e feed and give money as well, YOUNG jamician boys?"
You started out making a comment and then you end with a question. (where were u educated?) but where is your facts and how do you mean keep younger boys.... like locked up in a room, chained to a wall eating bread and water... what are you saying? explain further.
Dude i'd be livid if foreigners are selling drugs on my streets, I'd be **** if they acted as if they had a right to do that.
Take into consideration the history between both our people Jamaican and Brits (not white and black) i can understand why some people believe others owe them.... but if you want make sensible contribution to this forum... do some research read a grammar book or just read what sensible people here wright.

The man is a good friend and a loving father of two kids.
And he is missed by his family.
And that strap was never found on him, no dna was found on the weapon.

There are more foreign nationals in our prisons from Forbes' small island than from any other country in the world.
It's cases like this that prove the necessity for the reintroduction of the death penalty. UK prisons are severely overcrowded, and dealers of hard drugs, such as the subject of this article, do not deserve to live, nor should they be kept in our country for years at our expense.
With our criminal justice system being as inadequate as it is, he'll probably be dealing drugs again in a few years' time.
Even if he hadn't shot anyone yet, he was carrying a loaded gun, so he clearly intended to. Drug dealers are keen to use violence, and they prey on the vulnerable and kill with the poison they peddle. They are also to blame for the crimewave committed by the addicts they sell to.
