THURROCK'S Drug and Alcohol Action Team (DAAT) has been recognised as one of the best in the country.
The team was not only one recognised as "Excellent" in the Healthcare Commission and the National Treatment Agency (NTA) report released last week it also ranked equal third across the nation.
Cabinet member for Community Protection, Councillor Ben Maney, said: "I would like to congratulate the team as a whole - just three years ago the Thurrock DAAT was under special measures, now they're third best in the country."
