A TILBURY Primary school is proudly showing off its newly re-modelled facilities after a £250,000 revamp.
Essex design and architecture experts Munday and Cramer submitted a bid for local authority funding on behalf of the school and secured £250,000 to re-design and renovate St Mary's Roman Catholic Primary School in Calcutta Road.
The company which is based in South Woodham Ferrers, works with schools and private developers on a range of architecture and building projects.
Headteacher Jonathan Shields, said: "The work has made a huge difference to both the children and staff.
"We now have a proper entrance to the school rather than the children having to enter through the back of the building and the administration office, staff room and music room have all been completely renovated."
Director of Munday and Cramer, Rob Barr, added: "We were pleased to secure the funding for St Mary's and to be able make the best use of what was essentially wasted space and to incorporate new technologies such as sun tunnels into the design."
Work to re-vamp the playground and outside areas at the school continues.
