A MAN was left with head injuries after he was attacked outside his own home.
The victim, a 27-year-old man, was outside his flat in Grays High Street when he was approached by a gang of seven men.
One of the gang punched the victim in the face, leaving him needing hospital treatment for swelling and bruising, but the gang fled empty-handed.
Six of the gang are described as black men while the man who struck the blow is described as white, aged around 20, around 5ft 7ins tall with short, blonde hair.
Witnesses to the attack, which happened at 10.50pm last Friday, February 15, are asked to contact police at Grays on 01375 391212.
