POLICE are appealing for witnesses to an incident in which a teenager was robbed at knifepoint.
The 16-year-old boy was walking home along Mollands Way, South Ockendon, when he was grabbed from behind, threatened and had his pockets emptied.
The robber was black, about 5ft 10ins tall and had a plaster on his forehead. He was dressed in a dark jacket, jeans and trainers. It is believed the robber was one of a group of people seen earlier in a hatchback car.
Police are also keen to talk to a man seen walking his dog in the area at the time of the attack.
Witnesses to the robbery, at 5.45pm on Thursday, are asked to contact Grays CID on 01375 391212.
