Speak to us about school traffic nightmare
1:04pm Wednesday 12th September 2012 in Letters to the Editor
REGARDING parking at Tudor Court Primary School, as a reader wrote a few months ago, they were back like “locusts”. However, as bad as it was then, it’s even worse now.
Much worse, due to the extension work which should never have been approved.
Why, Thurrock Council, did you not knock on the doors of residents who would be directly affected?
Sending out letters alone is not enough. An in-depth traffic survey was vital, but this obviously did not happen as findings would have told you the plan was not feasible.
Why do us residents have to suffer the abuse, selfish attitiudes and having to plan our days around when we can and cannot access our properties? It's just not fair.
I extend an invitation to any member of Thurrock Council, should any of them care, to come and watch the behaviour of the parents from inside my home, then you may just question your decision to pass this ludicrous extension.
Parking restrictions should have been included and implemented in the planning stage but now the school is open, nothing has changed and serious parking problems have occurred.
Why are there no parking restrictions along Bark Burr Road and Clifford Road, such as those which exist outside Warren School?
Thurrock Council, you really need to talk to residents in the vicinity as a matter of considerable urgency. – NAME AND ADDRESS SUPPLIED.
