Parking must improve outside school
3:06pm Friday 4th May 2012 in Letters to the Editor
FURTHER to the letter regarding parking outside Tudor Court Primary School, I totally agree with the comments.
I have also had parents parking in my private driveway, shared driveway and across it. When asked to move, they become rude and aggressive. Much of the driving within the vicinity is dangerous and cars are regularly parked on paths, forcing parents to walk in the road. They also ignore any road markings.
The school says it can’t do anything about it, but other schools do not have such a problem. Police do not seem to care and parking attendants just move people on and do not give out tickets, so what’s the point?
This third extension is one too many and Thurrock Council should be ashamed of itself for passing it. I was not permitted dormers in a roof conversion, but the school can build right up to the fence, enabling residents to look straight into classrooms.
The builders start early and daily ignore the restriction on vehicle movements and the mud and stones in the road are a disgrace.
This situation needs addressing urgently, and Tudor Court, yes you can do something about it. – NAME AND ADDRESS SUPPLIED.
