AM I missing the point here? Virtually everyone that drives over the river crossing also comes back again.
So why pay twice? Why get stressed fumbling for your change at both approaches when you could pay just once? Okay double the money, but we were all going to pay that anyway.
Think of it. One way would be totally toll free, therefore jam free. Only half the booth operators required, half the staff, therefore cheaper to man (sorry guys).
Surely a win win for everyone, what could be the argument against such a simple yet obvious suggestion?
Oh, and most importantly of all, isn't it time the toll booths were located at our end so Essex can get a few quid out of this man-made money monster?
