Concern over bypass walking hazard

4:52pm Thursday 1st May 2008

I AM concerned about the Purfleet bypass.

There are many new warehouses opening there including a very well known household name who have moved their whole organisation to the massive warehouse on the bypass.

My concern is the lack of a footpaths. When myself and many others walk to work we have to walk on the grass verge, which is most of the time blocked by lorries parking for the night.

That results in us having to walk along the hard shoulder which sometimes can be very frighting.

Also in the early morning and late at night it is even more dangerous as there is no lighting.

Why is there no pathway along the bypass?

When this was built there must have been some plan to do one considering there are houses along there.

It is only a metter of time before someone is seriously hurt.

A concerned local,

River Court, Purfleet.
