I WISH to congratulate Danny Nicklen on his success in the Stanford East & Corringham Town Ward. He won it fair and square.

Can I take this opportunity to thank all my supporters, I am sorry I let you all down but I did do my very best.

I have enjoyed the last four years as your representative and will miss the chalenges you gave me.

I have made many friends in those years and appreciated your support. We laughed together and I will not forget you.

C'est la vie.

Gordon Gambier.

Gordon,

I only hope your replacement will be as dedicated as you to serving the people of Stanford East & Corringham Town.

Thurrock needs councillors like you - I hope you remain in local politics and return to active service soon!

he will be missed and i hope he will stand agin.

So Gordon has only been gone a few days and the No11 bus starts to cut out buses leaving the elderly standing around for over 3hrs.

great start....wonder whats next? the fence that just put up around the park to be taken down????

come on some voted this other guy in so lets make him work.
for a start he can add a fence to the corringham park so that the kids can not run into the car park.

and it has started to rain which is no doubt the new guys fault as well! Come on Lakes be honest do you think that the new guy took office and thought what can I do to make life worse for Thurrock? After all those years in office I do wonder why the Lord Gordon Almighty didnt get the fence to stop kids running into the car park?

In fact the fence at the park was only put up after Gordon faught for the fence. The reson why it had not be done is down to money.

The point about the bus is that Gordon was keeping an eye on them and it seems now he has gone they are yet again messing around.

I think before you post again you should look to see what has been going on with the money in Crringham over the last few years and then ask yourself why was money only given for things like the fence just before we had to vote again??

Dear Lakes, the fence was put up by the Corringham & Fobbing Community forum.

The bus times have not changed - one of the buses broke down!

And dear lakes - instead of posting on the comments page of a letters section on a newspaper website...

...perhaps you should email the new councillor with any local concerns - here is his email address:-

Dear Rubber Gloves you should look at who in the Corringham & Fobbing Community forum asked for the fence......Gordon Gambier.

I should point out that Gordon is also the Chair of the Corringham & Fobbing Community forum.

As you see he has done a lot for our area and its a shame he was not voted on what he has been doing, instead they voted on whats been going on in the UK.
