I AM appealing to anybody who may have witnessed an incident which occurred in Stanford High Street on Wednesday, April 16 between 10am and 12 noon.

I am a disabled lady driver and on the above date was about to park outside the Co-Op Supermarket in a space that had just been vacated by another car when a man told me I could not park there as he wanted that space for his van (at the stage his van was nowhere to be seen).

I showed him my disabled badge and explained that I was having difficulty walking and needed to park as close to the hairdressers as possible.

His reply after editing out his foul language was that he did not care that I was disabled and I was not going to park there.

As this was a public parking space (though not a disabled one) I was not going to be intimidated by this bully so I continued to park my car leaving my disabled badge clearly on display only to be subjected to further foul language from him.

When I later returned to my car I found to my horror that several hundreds of pounds worth of damage had been done to the paintwork of my car.

Did anybody see this despicable and cowardly act take place, or see anybody acting suspiciously around a silver Fiesta on the date and time indicated above?

If so please contact 07974 004682.

I feel really sorry for this lady - what a terrible thing to have to endure in the first place let alone the vandalism part. If it was the 'van' man who did this act, then I sincerely hope that 'what goes around, comes around' I hope witnesses come forward as this was a cowardly act - shame on you - you're nothing more than a BULLY!
