WHAT BT needs to do to solve this problem is, with a bit of foresight, put in fibre optic cable now! The money would be well spent as it is going to have to put in fibre optic eventually anyway. MY concern is all this planning for 'the future Thurrock' is a delaying tactic to making changes in the here and now. The people of this borough see this venture as just more Thurrock Council hot air. What they want is decent schools, safe streets and decent homes, not some computer rendering of a town 10 years away, that in all likelihood won't happen anyway. − Bea P, Grays
