Home ransacked and car taken

A CAR worth more than £8,000 was stolen by burglars who also ransacked a home.

They prised open the front door of the house in Strathmore, East Tilbury, before ransacking the rooms.

They stole a handbag, £20 cash and keys to the silver Ford Focus, registered EN51 VHJ, which they then drove off.

Anyone with information about the raid, which happened between 11.30pm on Tuesday, April 29 and 6.30am the next day, is asked to contact police at Grays on 0300 333 444 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
