Police relaunch Lakeside Christmas crackdown

A CRACKDOWN, which aims to cut crime at the Lakeside Shopping Centre, has been relaunched for the fourth year.

Police will be beefing up their patrols at the Thurrock complex in the run-up to the big day to enjoy shoppers don't fall prey to criminals.

Essex Police's mounted unit and the motorcycle unit will be joining police on regular patrols throughout the day in the festive run-up to keep crooks at bay.
