Arsonist destroys hedge in Grays

POLICE are looking for an arsonist who set fire to a child’s car seat in an alley way in Grays, destroying a 10ft section of hedge as the fire spread.

The incident, which took place in Palmeston Road on Sunday November 30 between 6pm and 7pm, caused £50 of damage.

Essex Police spokesperson Laura Anderson said: “Arson is an extremely dangerous crime that diverts the emergency services away from saving lives.

“If you saw who did this, call police immediately at Grays police station on 0300 333 4444.”
