A HAUL of diamond gems were stolen by burglars.

The thieves got into the house in Daniel Close, Chafford Hundred by smashing a glass panel in a rear door, causing £150 damage.

Once inside they helped themselves to jewels including a diamond ring, two diamond wedding rings, a diamon necklace, a white gold bracelet and a Tiffany bracelet.

They also took a silver Philips LCD TV and a Compaq laptop worth a total of £7,300.

Witnesses to the break-in, which happened at 10pm on Friday, Novemner 14 are asked to contact police at Grays on 0300 333 4444.
