COPPER cable worth £1,000 was stolen by thieves who got into the yard of a firm in Arisdale Avenue, South Ockendon by cutting through a fence and causing £500 damage.
Once inside they stole the 15 metres of cable.
Anyone with information about the theft, which happened between 3am and 8am on Thursday, August 28, is asked to contact police at Grays on 0300 333 4444.
