WOULD-be thieves caused £50 damage when they tried to break into a trailer parked outside DHL in Western Avenue, Grays.
The criminals climbed over a fence into the yard where it was parkedand tried to get into it using bolt cutters to open the doors, causing £50 damage, but they fled empty-handed after failing to get in.
Three suspects were seen fleeing the scene.
They are all described as white men aged 18 to 20. One wore a dark fleece, a hooded jacket and white trainers.
Another wore a light-coloured fleece, a hooded jacket and white trainers and the third man wore a black jacket and jumper.
Witnesses to the theft, which happened at around 2.30am on Wednesday, August 6, are asked to contact Grays police on 0300 333 4444.
