A CAR and two phones were among items stolen by burglars who broke into the house in Prospect Close, Grays, after forcing open a kitchen window.
Once inside they stole a handbag, Nokia and Samsung mobiles, £5 cash, a pink and black purse, a sat nav and various bank cards.
They also stole the keys to a red Nissan Micra, which they then drove off.
Witnesses to the theft, which happened between 12am and 7am on Thursday, August 7, are asked to contact police at Grays on 0300 333 4444.
