THIRTY members met for the monthly lunch and AGM on Wednesday, April 9 at the Langdon Hills golf centre.

This, the one meeting of the year without a guest speaker, consists of reports from the President and secretary and the election of officers for the year ahead.

An exciting year on reflection which included our 25th anniversary lunch and having to find a new venue when Orsett Hall hotel burnt to the ground in May.

President Ray South, relinquished this position at the end of his year, in office, and invested his successor Brian Billins, with the President's badge of office and collar.

The new president invested John Bob as new vice president and social secretary. Alan Copson was elected to the club committee.

An active membership of just over half constitutional strength confirms this perennial concern despite welcoming four new members during the last twelve months. New members are welcome, for further information phone Keith Swain on 01375 677439
