ON Thursday, June 11, instead of a talk we had an open day.

Many people from Thurrock visited us and spent their money to raise £460.

The members would also like to thank Belinda and Daniel for arranging a 5K fun run around the Chafford Hundred, which meant, with sponsorship cash raised, it was another good day.

To the people that took part we cannot thank you enough.

Back to the open day, we managed a plant and flower stall, two stalls doing cards and paintings, cake and various other stalls and sold our distinctive pink T-shirts. To all members that took part a hearty thank you from the committee.

We are holding an open forum at our meeting on July 2 and urge anyone with Parkinson’s to join us and learn more about the disease and what you can do living with it.

Don’t forget to put your names down for Pole Hill on July 21 and Brick Lane on October 29. These outings are run for the pleasure of the sufferers and their carers.
