PREGNANCY pals and Birth Buddies, a group of volunteers who support expectant single mums in Thurrock, has won a £60,000 grant to expand its project to parts of Basildon.
The group won a public vote for the cash after going head to head with the team behind a sensory garden project in Enfield.
The grant is given out as part of ITV’s Jubilee People’s Millions programme, run in partnership with the Big Lottery Fund.
