TAI Chi For Health is running a free introductory class to the martial art on Thursday.

The class, which is at the Corringham Safety Hall, in Fobbing Road, is open to anyone aged over 18, and is suitable for all fitness levels and abilities.

The hour long session starts at 5.30pm and teaches Qi Gong relaxation and energy work, and Tai Chi movement and meditation.

The art is said to help reduce the risk of heart failure, the risk of falls, and blood pressure levels, as well as reducing the pain of arthritis, among other health benefits.
