GRAYS Public Purposes and Recreational Charity donated £1700 to Davy Down Riverside Park in North Stifford recently.
The cash will be used by park trustees for new publicity leaflets and to update signage.
Davy Down Trust member and Stifford Clays Councillor Diana Hale said: "Our current literature is way out of date and so much has happened over the last five years that we needed a rethink."
The trust is also reading itself for a Green Flag application in 2010, the national award scheme for parks and open spaces.
