SMOKERS can help the environment by taking advantage of a free smoking butt pouches giveaway by Thurrock Council.

The Be Smart team have distributed the pouches to borough pubs and businesses.

So far, these pubs have received pouches: The Archer and Brandon Groves Social Club, South Ockendon, The Sandmartin, Chafford Hundred and The Treacle Mine, The Wharf and Theobalds in Grays.

Brunells and Target taxi offices have also received pouches.
