LESSONS at Aveley Primary School were a bit different when a full size traditional North American Indian Tipi and Mongolian Yurt tent arrive in the school's playing fields for a week!
Pupils used the spaces for lessons, play, meals and special activities, to explore shelters of all kinds with their teachers.
Class activities included exploring the contemporary use of yurts in places such as Mongolia, Kazakhstan, Afghanistan and Pakistan and tipis in the culture of Native Americans and the Sami people in Norway.
