Olympics can inspire locals to volunteer
7:30am Sunday 21st October 2012 in News
THE Ngage Volunteer Centre is calling on local Olympics games makers who enjoyed the buzz of volunteering to get involved with Thurrock organisations and charities.
The centre, which has been running for just over a year, has more than 1,000 members and 200 opportunities currently available.
Julie Rawson, Ngage volunteer coordinator, said: “We were delighted to see so many people volunteering to support the Olympics, which helped to make it the most successful games ever.
“The Games could not have happened without their contribution.
“Should Thurrock games makers wish to continue volunteering, they can register with the Ngage Volunteer Centre.”
