BATIAS celebrating 20 years

THURROCK-based charity Batias will celebrate its 20th anniversary at an AGM on November 15.
The meeting is in the Whitmore Suite at the Orsett Hall, in Prince Charles Avenue, from 5pm.
Carole Cecil, chief executive of the charity, which supports people with learning difficulties, said: “Now that people with learning disabilities live as independently as possible in their local community, it does not mean that they are always listened to or their rights upheld.
“Therefore BATIAS has continued to be there for them over the last 20 years.”
