Opportunity Thurrock event a success

MORE than 60 businesses took part in Thurrock’s first area wide careers and education event last Wednesday (October 3).
Schools and colleges in Thurrock were also at the event, which was held at the Civic Hall in Blackshots Lane, Grays.
The event was open to everyone and gave young people in the borough up to date information on the career and education opportunities open to them.
Among the businesses in attendance were Santander, Royal Opera House, Park Inn, Port of Tilbury, The Army, Impulse Leisure, South Essex College, the Royal Society of Chemistry and PixelWork.
