Businesses' conference set for Civic Hall
7:40am Thursday 4th October 2012 in News
THIS year’s Let’s Talk Business Conference will take place on Wednesday, November 14, at the Civic Hall.
The aim of the conference, which coincides with Global Entrepreneurship Week, is to give Thurrock businesses a forum to express their views, share opportunities in the area and create business opportunities.
Guest speaker will be Paralympic gold medallist Danny Crates, who will be sharing his inspirational story and giving motivational messages.
Other confirmed speakers include Janice Gibson, from Growth Accelerator, a support programme for high-growth businesses, Cllr John Kent, the leader of Thurrock Council, council chief executive Graham Farrant, and Jonathan Catton, Gazette columnist and the council’s heritage officer.
Cllr Kent said: “Last year’s conference was a fantastic success with more than 200 businesses attending.
“I very much hope this year’s event will be just as successful and would urge all businesses to engage with us through the event.”
The conference is on at the venue, in Blackshots Lane, Grays, from 8am until 11.30am.
