A THURROCK volunteering organisation held a Make a Difference day to improve a housing complex.

Ngage worked with Thurrock Council’s housing department and horticultural team to improve the entrance to the Piggs Corner complex in Grays.

Residents were consulted about the improvement works, which saw the garden area tidied up and replanted.

Ngage are looking at holding another Make a Difference day at the Garrison Estate in Purfleet on October 27.

If you would like to volunteer, call 01375 389893.

A portion of the residents rent pays for gardening so as the paid service was delivered for free by volunteers instead will the council givea refund toresidents?
