THE Comedy Club is preparing for its opening night at the Orsett Hall Hotel on Thursday, September 27.

Headlining will be Rudi Lickwood, a comic who has appeared on ITV’s Show Me The Funny, MTV’s After-party, and BBC3’s Banged Up Stand-Up, among others.
A spokesman for the Comedy Club said: “As the top black comedian on the UK comedy circuit, Rudi Lickwood is far more than just a stand-up.
“Rudi’s recent achievements including earning his status in the ‘Black 100+’ awards for the greatest Black British Achievers, picking up a BECA award for outstanding contribution to comedy, and
taking up a high profile request to host an exclusive Brit Awards after-show party.
“With a super confident playful personality oozing charisma, Rudi’s infectious charm has made him a desirable commodity and a huge act on the UK comedy circuit.”
The doors open at 6pm, with the show starting at 9pm.
The host comedian for the night will be Ryan McDonnell from Belfast, who made his debut at the Edinburgh Comedy Festival in 2010.
